I procrastinated on my homework to write a blog post because you guys come first. Anyway, today I will share how writing upon watching a scary movie can do numbers for your writing.
Though I am mostly desensitized to horror films, some can be mentally stimulating in terms of inspiration.
For example, last night I watched Sinister and found myself with a plethora of ideas afterward. Original ideas I just had to put to paper ASAP.
Upon regurgitating all my ideas that were planned in the back of my mind. I found myself with an adrenaline rush that carried me further into the night in my writing process.
So if your mother ever told you horror movies are bad for your creativity or imagination. She was sorely wrong and you have only yourself to blame if you do not take on this unique opportunity.
If you are not like me and horror movies keep you up at night, this process can be even more effective.
